REAL STUDENT VIEWS

Aadhi Pazhuparambil Suresh, digital games development

My recommendation would be to get in contact with someone at the university regarding the type of financial support you need. For me, it was travel support as I was a commuting student. Brighton Boost made my life easier and quicker.

Millie Scott, marketing management

I am lucky enough to have a job in retail during university, but managing money still isn't easy. I’ve picked up habits, like budgeting weekly and cooking at home rather than ordering food. Budgeting at university has made me appreciate the value of balancing work, study and social life.

Ella Liddington, film

Balancing money at university can be tricky, but being a Student Outreach Ambassador has really helped. It’s given me experience in areas I might not have tried otherwise, and it fits around my studies. The university also offers great budgeting and funding advice, which makes things feel a lot less stressful.

Part-time jobs – Jobs Hub

Lots of students work part-time alongside their studies to earn money and develop new skills and experiences. Our Student Jobs Hub brings together all the jobs on offer at the university as well as further afield, so you only need to look in one place.

Paid roles for the university and students’ union include working in cafes, shops, bars and sports centres on campus, or as a student ambassador to support university activities.

When you visit us, you’ll meet our ambassadors – they work at open days and online events, visit schools and colleges, and create content for our website, blogs and social media.
