Make your application

You can submit your application from mid-September. There is a 29 January deadline for most courses. Your school or college may have a different internal deadline. For 2027 entry, the UCAS equal considerations date for applications for most undergraduate courses is 13th January 2027.

September–July

Offers

We make offers from September, but most are made in the spring term. If you have any concerns, contact us.

Depending on your course, you may be asked to send us your portfolio or come for an interview. We will message you about this.

Applying for funding

You don’t need to wait for offers to apply for funding. UK students should apply as early as possible.

Applicant days

All courses hold these events to give you the opportunity to get a feel for the university, meet the students and staff from the course that you’ve applied to, and see the facilities that you’ll be using every day. Our applicant days run during the spring term – we’ll send you an invite by email once you’ve applied, with a link to book your place.

February–June

UCAS Extra

Applicants who are not holding offers can apply to courses that still have vacancies. For 2027 entry, UCAS extra opens on 25 February.

Accept your Brighton offer

Get your offer and start taking part in Belong at Brighton activities (from Feb to July) to get ready for uni before you get here – join our offer holder community to meet other new students on your course who share your interests, attend online advice events and hear from current students. If you received all your decisions by 31 March, you must confirm your choices with UCAS at the start of May. If you apply to university after 31 January, you may have a different deadline by which to accept your offer.

Accommodation choices

If you make us your firm choice and you are eligible, we will invite you by email to apply for university accommodation from March onwards. We’ll let you know the deadline when you apply for your course.

Exam results

BTEC, IB, A-level and T-level results available.

Confirm your place

If you have a conditional offer, we will confirm your place via UCAS Hub once we have received your results and reviewed your application. If you are holding an unconditional offer, then your place on the course is confirmed as soon as you accept our offer.

Clearing

Clearing gives late applicants, people without offers and people who didn’t meet the conditions of their offers, opportunities to apply for courses with vacancies.

July–September

Finalising accommodation

All eligible students will receive an offer of university accommodation. Offers of accommodation are made by email. To secure your place, you need to respond before the deadline we give you at the time.

August–September

Get ready for uni

You can start to get ready for uni from July onwards. We’ll send you everything you need to make your best start here – from arranging your accommodation to course preparation and our Freshers’ festival.

Enrol online

Once you have enrolled online, you are officially a University of Brighton student. You can view your welcome timetable and start applying for student discounts.
