The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) underpin our teaching. We want our students to develop the political, technological and financial solutions needed to create a more sustainable future. Emerson, economics
Brighton has such a progressive course. I like that it follows what’s happening in the world and rises to meet evolving industry needs. I think having a module like this is invaluable; the fact that there are multiple businesses ready to embrace this with us just goes to show how important carbon accounting is.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Employer input helps us future-proof the skills you develop on our business and management courses. Our business contacts provide guest lectures, placement opportunities, field trips and live project briefs.
You’ll graduate with a sound understanding of how organisations operate and with the practical skills and experience to stand out in the workplace.

A strong business foundation
All our business management courses share the same first year modules, ensuring you have a solid grounding in business principles. This gives you the breadth that employers value and ensures you‘ll appreciate how your chosen field connects to the wider business environment.
From your second year, you‘ll choose modules in the areas that interest you most and can opt to specialise in economics, entrepreneurship, events, finance, human resources, law, marketing or tourism.

Core modules provide a foundation from which you can go on to pursue options including human rights, criminal law and practice, and commercial law. Our approach means your assessments are focused on applying the law in practical ways. From the start, you’ll combine academic study with building your legal experience.

Solid grounding
Our law degrees provide the Foundations of Legal Knowledge modules required by the Bar Standards Board for becoming a barrister, and a solid basis of legal knowledge for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) 1 for becoming a solicitor.
