MOULSECOOMB CAMPUS

SELF-GUIDED TOUR

STOP 7: COCKCROFT BUILDING

The Cockcroft Building is the main hub of the Moulsecoomb campus, with teaching spaces used across science, engineering, computing, product design, geography and environmental sciences. Inside you’ll find the Students’ Union, Student Information Desk, GP service, prayer room, Career Zone and Print Services, making it a one‑stop space for support and campus life.

It’s also a popular social spot, with the SU shop and café, plus two additional food outlets on the mezzanine level, offering plenty of places to eat and hang out. The building is home to the Aldrich Library, the main study space for Moulsecoomb students, with computers, printers and specialist support.

A link bridge on the second floor also connects directly to the Heavy Engineering Building.

Restaurants and cafes

The Cockcroft building has several options including the Mezz restaurant and Book and Bean cafe, located on the first floor as well as Basement Central on the ground floor which is run by our Student Central.
