The Advanced Engineering Building is where you’ll find specialist research labs, prototyping labs, workshops and teaching facilities used for engineering projects. And the university’s world‑leading Advanced Engineering Centre research focused on innovation in transport, energy and manufacturing takes place here. The first-floor features cutting‑edge workshops, including manufacturing, welding and robotics labs, giving students real industry‑standard experience.

Learning and social spaces

Modern laboratory spaces on the first-floor support both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, giving students hands‑on experience with real engineering processes.

Robotics and Mechatronics Lab

Robotics lab you’ll find a humanoid robot, robot arms, an agile mobile robot, immersive learning space and workshop area.

Metal Machining Workshop
