STOP 2: WATSON BUILDING

This building houses some of our health course facilities. It also has seminar rooms, a lecture theatre and is home to Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Specialist facilities in the Watson Building include an occupational therapy daily living suite, two physiotherapy suites, a podiatry suite, paramedic science suites and simulated hospital wards.

Entrance

Watson has entrances on the ground floor and on level 2.

Physiotherapy Suites

There are physiotherapy suites on level 1 and 2 of the Watson building where students learn and practise their skills.

Podiatry Suite

The podiatry suite is on level 2 and enables students to take part in simulation before working with real patients.

Daily living suite: A practitioner assisting a student with equipment in a daily living suite, a simulated home environment used for training purposes.

Located on level 2 the suite has a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and is used by OT and other health students.

Paramedic Suite: A specialised training area equipped to simulate ambulance and emergency response scenarios.

The suite on level 2 enables students to take part in simulated real-life professional experiences and gain confidence.

Simulated Hospital Ward: Clinical learning space typically associated with the health and nursing courses based at the Falmer campus.
